Following on from RuneScape:Requests for deletion/Maikeru.

Player names that are found in Special:SearchDigest should be redirected to the policy RuneScape:Biographies of living persons (or RS:BLP for short) as per that policy.

This includes existing redirects like Zezima which are currently redirected to Skill mastery.

RS:BLP should be amended to include the result of this discussion.

          Support - As per the policy itself. ??Salix?of Prifddinas?(Talk)?? 09:58, 14 October 2020 (UTC)

Support - This should be consistently applied. Only exception should be any Jagex-created spoofs based on real players (such as Cursed You and Durial321) should redirect to the NPC page instead which focus on the NPC. ?Aescopalus talk? 19:02, 19 October 2020 (UTC)

Support - As per above. Good for consistency, keeps these names off the search digest also. Maikeru for example, has been on this for months and months. ? TzTok-Gas TM 15:44, 22 October 2020 (UTC)

Support - I voiced this on the similar thread about maikeru. Badassiel 15:55, 22 October 2020 (UTC)

Neutral - I think there's usefulness in redirecting an RSN to a page which their RSN is actually mentioned (eg on an achievement if they got it first, or skill mastery). That being said, this would be wildly inconsistent, and I wouldn't know what page to redirect to if the RSN appeared on multiple pages. Haidro??? ? ?? 00:50, 24 October 2020 (UTC)

Would it be viable to make a page of 'Firsts', in the same way the List of Ironman firsts exists but also include the achievements from Archaeology etc? We could then divert these searched players to this? It may seem like an achievement in itself typing your username in and then appearing on that page? ? TzTok-Gas TM 09:16, 24 October 2020 (UTC)

Oppose - if a player is notable enough to have their name mentioned in an actual article then I don't see why their name can't redirect to the page. If they don't appear in any article and it's searched for a lot then directing to the policy makes sense. ?IsobelJ? 19:58, 13 November 2020 (UTC)

Closed - All current and future player names will now be redirected to RS:BLP. Talk-to Kelsey 07:13, 19 November 2020 (UTC)
